APPEARANCE

Behemoth hollowbeasts are a common subspecies easily recognized by their additional set of arms. In feral form these arms become an extra set of front legs. This subspecies is the largest of all subspecies and passes this trait genetically onto hybrid offspring. They have a high rate of hybridization as they can reproduce with most other subspecies - excluding Serpentine - with their large stature and additional arms being dominant genetic traits.

The standard behemoth will have a short coat of fur, thick sales or a leathery hide. Longer fur is uncommon as their muscle mass provides natural insulation for the colder weather of their seasonal climate. Unique to their genetic lines are several types of tails including tails with venomous stingers, exterior vertebrae around a center muscular core (skeleton tail), snake-headed tails and segmented scorpion-like tails. Venom produced by both singers and the snake's fangs will be an anticoagulant or paralytic. This will also be the same venom produced by the hollow's fangs - they cannot create both and will only have one or the other.

Coloration of their coat, scales or hides are usually dark and muted. Earth tones are the most common colors to create natural camouflage with their surroundings. Behemoths are globally dispersed and their coloration will change dependent on climate and surroundings. If one relocates to an arctic climate for long enough, their coat can shift from brown and green to white and grey over time.
