APPEARANCE

Armored hollowbeasts are a subspecies with a blurry past. They share a common ancestor with the behemoth hollowbeasts with the main difference being their smaller stature and identifying feature of full body plating. These two subspecies have crossbred for centuries and as a result both reside in the Behemoth homelands and are commonly regarded as one species. Armored and Behemoth hollowbeasts are still two completely different species - but their comingling has made their cultures and values nearly identical. 

The armored trait can be passed onto other subspecies that are compatible to hybrid with behemoths. Close relationships between the armored and behemoth subspecies has resulted in behemoth hollowbeasts with additional body plating or armored hollowbeasts with four arms becoming a common sight in the behemoth civilizations.
